About This Role

The Ministry Development Specialist is responsible for overseeing the life and direction of the church by guiding and motivating members to connect with and support the work of ministry with their time, talent and gifts.

Ministry Leader Culture-Driven Responsibilities

  1. Oversee, manage and motivate a strong and effective ministry team.
  2. Responsible for recruiting new team members for the growth of the ministry.
  3. Provides monthly quality check on performance goals, struggles, and areas of improvement.
  4. Facilitate ministry team meetings on a consistent basis
  5. Coach team members into vision-building, effective ministry habits and biblical principles of ministry for spiritual growth.
  6. Foster an environment for innovation and creativity to create strategies for vision alignment and progression of the ministry.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities

  1. Implement a ministry team worker pipeline for The Freedom Church that clearly lays out the path to becoming an active and engaged ministry worker.
  2. Develop and implement a strategic plan to ensure the growth of ministries.
  3. Collect and process data from submitted  Time, Talent & Gifts Survey in order to identify and develop ministry skills to incorporate every member into ministry.
  4. Develop and administer ministry specific trainings for potential and existing team members.
  5. Maintain  data of the membership and their current involvement in the church (Small Groups, ministries, service attendance and other activities).
  6. Plan, lead and organize bi-monthly New Member’s Orientations.
  7. Manage baptism sign-up and preparedness by working with the Ministers and Deacons ( phone calls to members, scheduling a baptism class, ect.).
  8. Perform any other duties related to ministry development as directed on need basis.
