About This Role
The purpose of this role is to assist the church in bringing glory to God through music.
Culture-Driven Responsibilities
- Create and support an atmosphere of vibrant worship through compelling musical experiences.
- Assist in the training and developing musicians/Vocalist to increase competency in musicianship and worship leadership.
- Assist in creating a monthly set list to include song lyrics, music, and other worship materials.
- Provide musical leadership to fellow musicians during mid-week rehearsals, Sunday morning services, Wednesday evening services and special church-wide events.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Conducts themselves in a professional and courteous manner in all rehearsals, worship services and specials services.
- Helps bridge generational/cultural differences by selecting a balance of musical styles for every service which will, as a whole, have multigenerational appeal; Leads the congregation, using a variety of styles of music, including coaching for new songs unfamiliar to the congregation.
- Arrive to rehearsal having learned all song materials and be prepared to provide musical assistance to music director, fellow musicians, and vocalist.
- Attend weekly leader/choir/praise team rehearsals.
